Proscenic Q8 Max+ review
A dual-laser robot vacuum and mop with a self-empty station for homes full of furniture legs.

We recommend the Proscenic Q8 Max+ for a furnished home where table legs, chair bases and low clutter are the daily obstacle course. A line laser joins the LiDAR to spot low and narrow objects, and the self-empty station cuts bin duty to about once every 60 days by Proscenic’s estimate. At €289.99 it is a capable hands-off vacuum and light mop, as long as you are happy to buy dust bags for the station.

The quick answer
The Proscenic Q8 Max+ is a robot vacuum and mop with 8,000 Pa suction, dual laser navigation (LiDAR plus a line laser), up to 200 minutes of runtime and a self-empty station with a 3 L dust bag. It saves up to five floor maps, offers no-go zones and voice control, and boosts suction on carpet. Choose it when low obstacles are your main worry; the Q20 Plus is the better pick if you want a bagless station.
Why we like it
- Dual laser navigation: LiDAR plus a line laser for low and narrow objects that LiDAR alone can miss
- A self-empty station that Proscenic says can go up to 60 days between bag changes
- 8,000 Pa listed suction with automatic carpet boost and a roller brush for hair
- Up to 200 minutes of runtime and automatic recharge and resume for larger homes
- Voice control through Alexa, Google Home, Siri or IFTTT, plus maps for up to five floors
Before you buy
- The station uses 3 L disposable dust bags, so there is a recurring bag cost that bagless stations avoid.
- It climbs thresholds up to 15 mm, lower than the 20 mm of the Q20 Plus.
- Mopping comes from a shared 2-in-1 tank, and the station does not wash or dry the pad.
- It has a single side brush, and the store ships to the EU and UK only, in euros.
Why we like the Q8 Max+ for furnished homes
Most robot vacuums get stuck in the same places: chair legs, sofa feet, cables and low clutter. The Q8 Max+ pairs LiDAR mapping with a line laser that Proscenic says picks up low and narrow objects traditional LiDAR can miss, which should mean fewer bumps and fewer rescues. Add a self-empty station and you have a routine that mostly runs itself: the robot cleans, returns to the dock and empties, and you change the bag when it is full.
Setup and home fit
The robot stores maps for up to five levels in the cloud and lets you activate one at a time, so a multi-storey home keeps separate room layouts. No-go zones and invisible walls keep it out of pet bowls and cable corners, and anti-fall sensors help at stairs. It crosses thresholds up to 15 mm, so check door sills and rug edges. Leave open space around the station for docking and for lifting the lid to swap the bag.
Everyday cleaning and features
Up to 200 minutes of runtime and automatic recharge and resume let it finish a large floor plan in stages. Carpet boost raises suction and drive power when it detects carpet, and the roller brush handles hair. Control works through the app and by voice with Alexa, Google Home, Siri or IFTTT. To mop, fill the 2-in-1 tank with water and fit the pad; the same tank holds dust when you vacuum.
What to know before you buy
The station uses disposable 3 L dust bags: two come in the box, one fitted, and the store sells a bundle with six more. Mopping is light and manual, because the station does not wash or dry the pad. The 15 mm climbing height is lower than the Q20 Plus’s 20 mm, and the single side brush leaves corners with less attention than twin-brush designs. The store ships to the EU and UK only.
Our buying advice
Buy the Q8 Max+ if low obstacles and a furnished floor plan are your concern, and you are comfortable with bags. Proscenic lists it at €289.99, and its customer discount of 8% reported through our route would bring that to about €266.79 if it applies; confirm the saving in your cart because eligibility has not been verified. Choose the Q20 Plus at the same price if you want a bagless 4 L station and a 20 mm climb.
